Abseiling – Reach Hang Vem from Above
Instead of following the usual path, you'll descend from a height of 30–40 meters straight into Hang Vem Lake – the largest saltwater lake in Lan Ha Bay. It’s a thrilling challenge for those seeking to conquer their fear of heights, reconnect with themselves, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from above. As your feet touch the deep emerald water, a sense of triumph merges with awe as untouched nature unfolds before your eyes.
Kayaking Across Hang Vem Lagoon
Glide gently across the still waters of Hang Vem Lake and witness the vibrant life beneath the surface: schools of fish weaving below your kayak, seaweed swaying with thick clusters of oysters clinging to the limestone rocks. Scattered across the lake are small “floating islands” – perfect spots to pause and soak in the serenity of this untouched natural sanctuary.
Explore the Ancient Bat Cave
Hidden within silent cliffs lies Bat Cave – a quiet realm where time has sculpted enchanting stalactites over millions of years. Step inside and you'll enter a different world, where every rock formation and water trace carries the geological signature of Cat Ba. More than just a destination, Bat Cave is a place where nature tells its ancient story through the language of stone and water.
Itinerary
8:00 AM: Meet at our office where your guide will introduce the day’s itinerary, provide essential safety guidelines, and distribute your equipment.
8:30 AM: Embark on a 2km trek through scenic trails and over rock slopes, immersing yourself in the unique and diverse ecosystem of the evergreen limestone mountains.
9:30 AM: Arrive at the Golden Monkey Peak, offer breathtaking panoramic views of the expansive 28,000-square-meter lagoon. Prepare for an exhilarating 40-meter abseiling descent from the Golden Monkey Peak to the lunch spot, using ropes and safety equipment.
10:30 AM: Relax and enjoy fresh lemon juice, fruits while taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
11:00 AM: Savor a light lunch in the middle of a dense forest on a limestone mountain, with a serene lake and mountain views stretching in front of you.
12:00 PM: Continue the adventure with another challenging abseiling descent, navigating approximately 30 meters from the lunch point to the water’s edge.
1:00 PM: You will be assisted by your guide in selecting kayaks, explaining safety procedures and demonstrating kayaking techniques before you set off to explore natural caves hidden within the cliffs.
2:00 PM: Enjoy free time kayaking. Try your hand at fishing, oyster harvesting, or simply unwind on the charming islets scattered across the lake.
3:30 PM: Take a refreshing swim in the emerald blue water, and capture memorable moments with companions!
4:00 PM: Return to the floating raft to relax, enjoy fruits and cakes, refresh yourself with beverages.
4:30 PM: Trek back to the starting point.
5:00 PM: Board the shuttle bus for the return to our office.
